Didn't think so. Neither did I. And now I am especially glad I did not, given that Slick Willie's former veep won an award for his hot air docu-propaganda. Not exactly a surprise. After all, who else would a bunch of pompous losers choose to celebrate other than the biggest loser of the decade?

The best part is, now after all the talk of his enviro-creds, it is reported he lives in a humongous shack back in Tennessee, that use 20 TIMES the energy of your standard  working stiff's home. Plus this is only one of three  palaces Mr. Clean  owns.

Oh, hypocrisy thy name is left wing, liberal Democratic assholes. There should be special award just for them. I mean besides the Oscars.  Those used to be for films, before they were hijacked by politically correct Hollywood fascists.

But who to choose for the award? There are some real contenders! Suggest away.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, it's everywhere.

Livestock are responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse-gas emissions as measured in carbon dioxide equivalent, reports the FAO. This includes 9 percent of all CO2 emissions, 37 percent of methane, and 65 percent of nitrous oxide. Altogether, that's more than the emissions caused by transportation.

WHAT THE DEMOCRATS AND MEDIA WON'T TELL YOU

So what's the real record? Since Bush's tax cuts took effect in mid-2003:

• Real gross domestic product is up to $1.33 trillion, or 12.6%.

• Existing businesses have hired 5.9 million workers (not counting the millions of jobs entrepreneurs have created).

• Corporate profits have soared 91% to $1.6 trillion.

• Tax receipts have leapt $503 billion, or roughly 1.1 percentage points of GDP, refuting the notion the tax cuts "caused" deficits.

And thanks to rebounding stock prices and huge gains in home values, Americans' total wealth has soared 39% to $54 trillion — the biggest expansion ever.

After such a stellar performance, a breather — what economists call a "midcycle correction" — would be in order. Yet the economy continues to power ahead.

In 2006's final period, GDP growth was 3.5%, and it has averaged 3% since the tax cuts. Real wages rose 1.7% in '06, much faster than the 0.3% average of the Clinton years. In just the last 12 months, unemployment plunged from 5.0% to 4.5%, near postwar lows.

What We The People bought was GRIDLOCK. The next 2 years will be static with nothing going forward. Stalemate between Congress and the Pres. And that's the way we usually like it. Reagan had Tip, Bill had Newt and now W has Nancy.

 

It is all part of the unacknowledged wisdom of the American people. The less government we have, the better we like it.

Naturally, my liberal friends throw their skirts up and declare he is done for.

Not so fast I say. Not going to happen. You just don't get it.

First you forget Bush is not Clinton (or any other Demo) driven by polls and the NY Times editorial page. He is his own man. He's from Texas and flips the bird to the pundits.

Second, Rumsfeld has done a great job and is still vital to the war on terror (yes Virginia it still goes on, just as W said it would).

Lastly, why would anyone invest anything in a bunch of crybabies who only want to promote their forthcoming book. Watch for appearances soon on the usual MSM left wing gab fests.

The whole debate about immigration often fails to place the emphasis on where it belongs.

It is not immigrants we, who support immigration reform efforts, oppose. It is ILLEGAL immigrants. The minute these folks stepped across the border they were guilty of a federal offense. And while here they are STEALING educational, employment and health services intended for CITIZENS.

Joe Hicks has a terrific OP-ED in today's Los Angeles Times that is right on point:

Now, many Latino immigrant-rights organizers and their sympathizers seem to be saying that there is some inherent right being expressed when people sneak into the country, thumb their noses at the law and make fools out of those who wait patiently in foreign lands for visas to come to the United States.

It is quite clear that many of those participating in the demonstrations have adopted the stance of the beleaguered victim, perceiving frustration about illegal immigration as racism. Some comments have been painfully ignorant. One protester said: "I'm here to make sure that Mexicans get their freedom, their rights."

During the student protests, the American flag was only occasionally on display, while the Mexican flag was omnipresent. A student said he was waving the latter in support of La Raza (the race), while another asked why illegal immigrants were "treated like criminals." Perhaps he wasn't aware that crossing the U.S. border without the required visa is now, and always has been, against the law.

I heard the quote mentioned above on the local news and it astounded me as much as it did Mr. Hicks. I am perfectly happy for Mexicans to have their rights - IN MEXICO! I for one would be happy to buy a one way bus ticket back south for this ungrateful idiot.

About the Oscars this Sunday.

Nobody except the left wing Hollywood elites who inhabit the West Side of LA.

There are five films nominated for Best Picture that nobody cares about. All have radical left wing agendas and no artistic merit. Pure agiprop.

Worse, they are commercial failures. All five together have grossed less than "The Chronicles of Narnia" which came out in December. But of course that was not nominated because of its Christian theme. Can't have that. How predictably PC.

Throw in no talent host John Stewart and it is an event designed to be missed.

When turds like Kennedy, Kerry, Boxer, Hillary, Leahy, Boxer, et al whine as they have, you know you are on to something great.

If Alito is one tenth the conservative they fear, we are on the way to getting the country back.

Hell yes, repeal Roe (horrible decision - ever hear of enumerated powers?), support the President's use of NSA wiretaps (hello Abdullah, its me Achmed. It' s OK to call, the Democrats said so) and do away with affirmative action (i.e. - anti-white male quotas).

The sooner we have Justice Alito, the better.

But go 25 miles outside the city line, and you meet the real folks who do all the work, pay the taxes and generally create the civilization that allows the diletantes to live.

So the Palestinians have an election and Hamas wins. Not just wins but wins in a landslide.

I say GOOD!

Now there is no question what these folks are about. Either they are murdering terrorist scum who should be annihilated or they will finally embrace a pragmatic approach and accept a two state solution.

If the latter, then the world is better off. If the former, then the Euro-weenies and our own left wing hypocrites will have to shut up, once and for all.

Either way, it's GOOD!

PREDICTIONS - 2006

OK, why not. It's almost 2006 and since I have NEVER been wrong, I offer all my wise readers a look into the year ahead. Why should I be the only one to have fun.

1) USC bets Texas 38-14 and earns it's third straight national championship.

2) The economy continues to improve defying the Cassandras in the Democratic Party and their running dogs in the MSM.

3) The DOW hits 12,000 by June and ends 2006 at 13,500.

4) Judge Alito will be confirmed and move the Court (finally) to the right).

5) The Iraqis will actually hagle together a government (this is the Middle east after all).

6) US troops will start to leave Iraq by Summer.

7) Interest rates will plateau during the Spring and then head down by the Fall.

8) Oil will drop to under $50 by April and to the mid 40s by Summer.

9) Pres. Bush will help the Republicans hold both houses of Congress, defying hopes of chowderhead Democrats and their running dogs in the MSM.

10) The Angels will win the American league pennant and go on to win the world series.

There they are. 10 can't miss predictions. All you need to know to get through 2006. Updates to follow as needed.

VICTIMHOOD, OH VICTIMHOOD

Been away for awhile with work, the holidays, yadda, yadda, yadda. But I couldn't resist this from Dr. Sanity's great site. A Christmas gift to all our liberal, leftwing, socialist, commie friends who think everybody is a victim (EXCEPT MIDDLE AGED WHITE GUYS) and America is to blame.

A SHORT COURSE ON HOW TO BE A VICTIM

Chapter I: THE ADVANTAGES OF VICTIMHOOD

This brief guide is for those searching for an expedited pathway into the exalted status of Victimhood. Becoming a victim --as we all have learned from famous TV stars, prominent politicians; religions, races, and even nations--is an advantageous state of being in many ways, several of which are:

-You are not responsible for what happened to you
-You are always morally right
-You are not accountable to anyone for anything
-You are forever entitled to sympathy
-You are always justified in feeling moral indignation for being wronged
-You never have to be responsible again for anything

As you can see, these are some heavy-duty privileges; and they are not given to just anyone. This list is not exclusive. There are many benefits of Victimhood; and in our current society, new rewards are continuously being discovered! You, too, may be someone who blazes a new path for future victims!

The badge of victimhood must be "earned" (ha ha, just kidding!) by one of two methods: (1) Membership in a special "victim" class; or (2) having something bad actually happen to you. Method 1 is definitely is superior in every way since it eliminates the need for something bad to actually happen to you (as long as it once happened to someone like you--you are set); thus this method is preferable and automatically puts all sorts of celebrities and famous people on your side. They will not be concerned if you are a good person or a bad person; just as long as you meet the basic victimhood criteria.

You are probably tempted to ask what that basic criteria is for most famous people to support you? Here is a tip (keep it under your hat): most famous people--especially undeserving famous people (i.e., people who are famous not for any particular talent they have, but because they might have a good publicist, for example) have an intense need to feel that they are "champions of the oppressed." This relieves them of the pervasive feelings of guilt under which they must function. Hence, all you have to do is to convince them that you are "oppressed" by one of a number of usual "oppressors", and you are home free!

Here is a handy list of possible oppressors that can be used by almost anyone searching for victimhood status:

- caucasian, heterosexual males
- Republicans (either male or female)
- conservatives (either male or female)
- businessmen or women (commonly referred to as "little eichmanns")
- capitalists
- rich people
- Christians (particularly Republican or conservative)
- the U.S. Military (all services)
- Americans (as a general group)
- Israelis (Jews)
