Writing in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, Joshua Wolf and Robert Salo of our Royal Children's Hospital say this delusion was a "previously unreported phenomenon".

"A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of
apocalyptic events."

(So have Alarmist of the Year Tim Flannery, Profit of

"The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies."

But never mind the poor boy, who became too terrified even to drink. What's scarier is that people in charge of our Government seem to suffer from this
"climate change delusion", too.

Since everyone is up in arms about oil, here is some interesting information from the California Energy Commission. Maybe the bozos in Congress should take a look and learn a little. Especially its stupidest member, Maxine Waters.

BAD GEOGRAPHY - BIG LIES

I don't think all Democrats are liars. But it seems all liars are Democrats. That's the only conclusion if you listen to Pelosi, Obama and Shrillary.

They all bleat about the Air Force awarding a plane contract to a team of Northrup Grumman and EADS. Northrup will build the planes in Alabama with many more parts sub-contracted around the country.

Clinton and Obama of course rap it all up in their nonsense about NAFTA. Typical liberal propaganda whining about free trade. Blah, blah, blah. Nothing new. Same old political flamethrowing by dishonest scabs trying to appeal to a no-nothing electorate.

But that left wing doyan from San Francisco Pelosi beats them all. She tries to harpoon McCain for calling attention to the original non-bid process which gave the contract to Boeing and, oh by the way, sent people to jail.

McCain called it out, which ordinarily would have thrilled left wingers. Anything to trash the military.

But not this time. We are in an election. So all bets are off. Any lie will do.

So what does Peolosi have to say? She claims awarding the contract to Northrup Grumman amounts to "outsourcing". (Ahhh, that great all purpose Democratic buzz word lie.)

NOTE TO PELOSI: Last time I checked Alabama was part of the U.S. And Northrup Grumman is an American company.

Maybe she should buy an atlas. Then she could rely on facts not lies. But then that wouldn't be Democratic.

Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.

The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January "was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average."

China is surviving its most brutal winter in a century. Temperatures in the normally balmy south were so low for so long that some middle-sized cities went days and even weeks without electricity because once power lines had toppled it was too cold or too icy to repair them.

There have been so many snow and ice storms in Ontario and Quebec in the past two months that the real estate market has felt the pinch as home buyers have stayed home rather than venturing out looking for new houses.

In just the first two weeks of February, Toronto received 70 cm of snow, smashing the record of 66.6 cm for the entire month set back in the pre-SUV, pre-Kyoto, pre-carbon footprint days of 1950.

And remember the Arctic Sea ice? The ice we were told so hysterically last fall had melted to its "lowest levels on record? Never mind that those records only date back as far as 1972 and that there is anthropological and geological evidence of much greater melts in the past.

The ice is back.

I just heard part of an interview on Michael Medved's show with one of these left wing schmucks. Listen to her for 30 seconds and it's all you need to know about the lies, disjointed thinking and treasonous mindset of today's left.

She accused the Marines or rape, murder and other atrocities while proclaiming how she supports the troops. Total lie typical of the left.

I hope when the Jihadists come for her and she whines and begs to be protected by the Marines, they just laugh and light another Marlboro.

Serves the boob right.

This was just announced and has been long awaited by the Pentax faithful. It looks hot. Can't wait to play with one in person.

RAISINS IN THE PUDDING

I don't go see a lot of movies. Most are tripe made by talentless, left wing ideologues hoping to slip one past those fools in the heartland (i.e. - east of the 405 and west of 7th Ave.)

I work in the entertainment industry and so I am familiar with the garbage flowing out of Hollyweird well before it hits the wall, er screen. It doesn't take much to discern the passable from the excreable (insider's quick tip - anything with George Clooney or by Michael Moore is crap).

So for 2007, we have the only films worth seeing: "300", "3:10 To Yuma" and "Juno".

"300" because it was just a kick ass bunch of fun that not only entertained but pissed off liberals, gays and others who took remedial anything in school. But I am being redundant.

"3:10" because I like Russel Crow. That's it.

"Juno" because it is great every year to see the little film that could, beat the big guys. Especially when it has an anti-abortion message. It was not only well written, acted and directed but it offered hope and honesty. Oh and it pissed off liberals, etc.

30 below in the midwest, massive cold everywhere else and this loser still whines about global warming. Maybe he should close his hot air emitting mouth. Or stay off the private jets. Or give up the SUVs. NAH!! that's too much like what he expects from us little folk.

If he is not the biggest joke in existence. He makes Hugo Chavez, Sean Penn and Rosie almost look sane.

What is truly scary is this fool (he was in Love Story and invented the internet you know?) came within a whisker of being President. Thank God for the Supreme Court.

THE PRIMARIES

The schedule and weird rules for the primaries this year are playing havoc with our politics.

First we have and New Hampshire, with a total of 17 people, establishing front runners. Neither represents the country as a whole and to make matters worse, independents got to vote in New Hampshire, diluting the value of party registration.

We then have South Carolina, where the biggest question the boobs in the MSM can ask the Republican candidates is where they stand on the Confederate flag. And this week the only news out of the Palmetto state is whether Bill Clinton is a bigger asshole in the White House or out.

Now we have Florida. Oy vey. Rudy waits to get there and by the time he does, he's dead. Romney looks good and McCain, who was dead is BAAAACCCK. Go figure. Meanwhile Huck is somewhere and Fred is gone.

The Dems have Shrillary continuing to be blatantly transparent and Osama Obama (i.e the Magic Negro) falling into the trap of playing in the Clinton mudpit.

All in all, a hell of way to choose the leader of the free world.

I have examined this problem and came up with a simple solution: If overpopulation and consumption of animals cause major harm to our planet, then we can simply end both threats — through cannibalism.

Yes people, let's eat each other.

Like acupuncture and Yoga, cannibalism has been around for centuries. And as you know, we are always willing to embrace anything associated with ancient, spiritual cultures. And, believe me, you can't get any more ancient or spiritual than a self-consuming practice that protects animals while paying tribute to our planet.

Think of it as a healing process for the Earth… but in a pot with carrots and spring potatoes.

Because, to embrace environmentalism, you must reject the idea that humanity is special, or any possibility that something good might come from creating more people.

So dig in. I suggest we start with Al Gore. He's got some tender meat on those thighs!

THE GREAT DEBATE

So who won? Gov. Romney. No question.

He was smooth, confident, crisp, self assured, direct and positive. Everyone else seemed a bit tentative. None were bad. All made their points. But Romney shoe through.

And, of course, in comparison to the dwarf Dems last week, EVERY Republican candidate seemed like a giant.

Now if Fred T. and Newt G. join in, it could be even more fun.

VIRGINIA TECH

Like everyone else, I have been extremely disturbed by the shootings at Virginia Tech. I grieve for the students, faculty and parents and the horror visited upon them by a madman.

But I have been troubled by something else. Besides the inevitable wails for gun control and the usual "it's all our fault nonsense",  I am bothered by the fact lone gunman could line up and execute 30+ people. And they stood there and let it happen. Nobody rushed the lunatic. Nobody through a desk or a book or anything at him to slow his murderous progress.

This may sound harsh. And I do not mean it to be so. However, I wish someone there had the fortitude or courage to try something.

As usual, Mark Steyn says it all better than I can:

I haven't weighed in yet on Virginia Tech — mainly because, in a saner world, it would not be the kind of incident one needed to have a partisan opinion on. But I was giving a couple of speeches in Minnesota yesterday and I was asked about it and found myself more and more disturbed by the tone of the coverage. I'm not sure I'm ready to go the full Derb but I think he's closer to the reality of the situation than most. On Monday night, Geraldo was all over Fox News saying we have to accept that, in this horrible world we live in, our "children" need to be "protected."

Point one: They're not "children." The students at Virginia Tech were grown women and — if you'll forgive the expression — men. They would be regarded as adults by any other society in the history of our planet. Granted, we live in a selectively infantilized culture where twentysomethings are "children" if they're serving in the Third Infantry Division in Ramadi but grown-ups making rational choices if they drop to the broadloom in President Clinton's Oval Office. Nonetheless, it's deeply damaging to portray fit fully formed adults as children who need to be protected. We should be raising them to understand that there will be moments in life when you need to protect yourself — and, in a "horrible" world, there may come moments when you have to choose between protecting yourself or others. It is a poor reflection on us that, in those first critical seconds where one has to make a decision, only an elderly Holocaust survivor, Professor Librescu, understood instinctively the obligation to act.

HERE COME THE SPARTANS

The New York Times hates the new Zack Snyder film, "300".

"300" is about as violent as "Apocalypto" and twice as stupid.

So do a lot of other left wing rags who deplore real history and prefer the revisionist version where the Greeks are not white Europeans and the Persians are not swarthy Asians.

And that is good enough for me. I can't wait to see "300".

Actually, my interest extends beyond loving anything which gives leftists pain. Although, that is an excellent reason. But I also love history, especially ancient history, and more especially ancient history which immortalizes noble sacrifice and honor, which is so lacking in today's narcissistic population of sheep.

Plus I loved "Sin City", the first depiction of another of Frank Miller's graphic novels.  These are great, stylized , innovative efforts in film making. Totally different than the usual left wing propaganda pap spewing from the pores of no talent Hollywood babies.

So, off I go to the theater for the first time in along time to vote with my money in favor of something worth my time and gold.
